The real problem
The 11+ isn't a test of what your child knows
It's a test of whether they can work accurately at speed, on question types they have never seen at school — because schools don't teach them.
Most children who miss out do so on timing and unfamiliarity, not ability. That's the good news: both are fixable. Both take months rather than weeks, which is why when you start matters.
Year 5 is ideal
12–18 months to build skills gradually, without the pressure of cramming.
Year 6 still works
The plan gets more intensive and the timeline is tighter, but it is absolutely doable.
Either way, we'll tell you honestly
The free assessment shows exactly where your child is and what the gap looks like.
What your child gets

- All four papers — verbal reasoning, non-verbal reasoning, maths and English, to GL Assessment format

- All materials and past papers included — no extras to buy
From £20/hour. Free assessment first.
If you're not satisfied after the first month, we refund it
No minimum term and no contract. Pause, change frequency or stop whenever you like. We would rather earn the next month than lock you into it.
“I found it really hard at first, but the lessons made things make sense. My tutor helped me believe I could actually do it. I passed my 11+ and I'm now at Burnham Grammar.”

The three things parents ask us first
Is it too late to start?
Year 5 is ideal. Year 6 still works, but the plan gets more intensive. Book the free assessment and we'll tell you honestly which one you're looking at — including if we think you don't need us.
Will it overwhelm my child?
Four students maximum means the pace is set by your child, not by a class of thirty. If a topic needs another week, it gets another week.
What if they don't get a place?
Everything they build — timing, comprehension, mental arithmetic, exam temperament — carries straight into KS3 and GCSE. No preparation is wasted.
The exam is in September. The preparation starts now.
